{"content":"I invested in Portal to Bitcoin a while back after having a video meeting with George Burke, one of the core team members. I got a very good feeling about the project when I learned what they are building and want to achieve. It's not something that is built in short time. This is complex technology, done in a new way. It's getting closer to launch on the market, so it's time to step up and make some posts about the project. @PortaltoBitcoin is worth following more closely. Simply explained, Portal to Bitcoin is bringing DeFi to Bitcoin, with a way to trade across chains using real Bitcoin, meaning no bridges, no wrapped assets, no custodians etc. This is powered by Taproot and self-custody. Peer-to-peer swaps was the true ethos of the Bitcoin whitepaper, and it's nice to see it happening also across different blockchains. As we all know, DeFi lived almost entirely on Ethereum for a long time. Now it's also on BSC, Solana, BASE, TRON etc. And soon, it will also come to Bitcoin with the help of Portal to Bitcoin.
