Recent about rate cut
As of today, June 4, 2025, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has not delivered any new public speeches. His most recent remarks were on June 2 at the Federal Reserve Board’s International Finance Division 75th Anniversary Conference. In that address, Powell focused on the historical significance of the division and its role in understanding global economic developments. He did not provide updates on monetary policy or interest rate decisions.
However, economic developments have prompted reactions from political leaders. President Donald Trump has intensified pressure on Chair Powell to lower interest rates following a disappointing jobs report. On his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “ADP number out. ‘Too Late’ Powell must now lower the rate. He is unbelievable. Europe has lowered nine times.”
The Federal Reserve has maintained its stance of data-dependent decision-making, with no immediate changes to interest rates announced. The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting is scheduled for June 17-18, where further discussions on monetary policy are expected.","images":[],"tags":[],"tradingPairs":[],"quotearticleid":0}
