BlackRock’s Recent Moves in Bitcoin and Ethereum BlackRock

{"content":"BlackRock’s Recent Moves in Bitcoin and Ethereum BlackRock has been actively adjusting its crypto holdings, with recent on-chain transfers showing nearly $640 million worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum moved to Coinbase Prime in September 2025. This included large deposits of over 117,000 ETH and more than 1,100 BTC, sparking speculation that the firm is rebalancing reserves or managing ETF-related liquidity. Despite these outflows, BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) continued to see steady inflows, while its Ethereum ETF (ETHA) faced notable withdrawals. In August 2025, however, BlackRock was in strong accumulation mode, purchasing billions in crypto across multiple sessions. Highlights include the acquisition of 150,000 ETH in mid-August, which triggered a record $1 billion inflow into Ethereum ETFs and pushed ETH prices upward. Overall, BlackRock now manages over 745,000 BTC (about 3.5% of supply) and 3.6 million ETH, cementing its position as one of the largest institutional holders in both assets. #BTC #Ethereum #BlackRock ","images":[],"tags":[],"tradingPairs":["ETH/USDT"],"quotearticleid":0}
