Grayscale CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF (GDLC) is the first product to follow the five largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano. Grayscale introduces GDLC ETF, covering top five cryptocurrencies. Grayscale announced its mixed-crypto ETF GDLC, the first multi-asset crypto product in the US, in an X post on Friday. According to the fund, Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano make up over 90% of the crypto market valuation. USDT/USDC are excluded from the index. "Today, we're proud to launch Grayscale CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF (GDLC), the first multi-asset crypto ETP in the US," said Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg on Friday in an X post. Bitcoin makes up 72% of the fund's holdings, Ethereum 17%, and XRP 5%, according to its website. The launch follows the SEC's Wednesday approval of the firm's Digital Large Cap Fund ETF conversion. The regulator gave Grayscale fast clearance to convert the fund in July, then stopped it a day later. The SEC also authorized generic exchange listing requirements to speed up crypto ETF listings. This shows institutional and individual investors' growing need for diverse crypto exposure. On Thursday, REX Shares and Osprey Funds introduced the first US spot XRP and DOGE ETFs. As investors await further ETF approvals, the funds had strong first-day trading inflows. "XRPR traded $37.7m on Day One, surpassing IVES for the most natural volume of any 2025 debut. "Doje's $17m is Top 5 for the year out of 710 launches," Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas tweeted on X.
