Crypto.ro 2026-01-05 11:33:07

On January 5, Binance announced its 60th project on the HODLer Airdrops portal, Brevis (BREV), ahead of listing it on the exchange.

Binance created the HODLer Airdrops portal to retroactively reward its users based on historical snapshots of their BNB holdings.

Users who subscribed their BNB to Simple Earn (Flexible and/or Locked) and/or On-Chain Yields products starting on December 17 at 00:00 (UTC) until December 19, at 23:59 (UTC) are eligible for this airdrop.

What is Brevis (BREV)?

The Brevis project claims to be “the inifinite compute layer for Web3 and everything.”

Brevis provides the following:

  • ZK proofs
  • Instant verifications
  • The ability to build “impossible apps”

The project is trusted by over 30 partners, including MetaMask, Linea, Kernel, Euler, Uniswap, and others, and, according to its official website, it has more than 205,700 users and over 288,6 million proofs so far.

The project is backed by YZi Labs, Polychain and other important names in the industry.

Resolving the Black Box Dilemma

On its website, Brevis addresses the Black Box Dilemma in which:

  • Every advanced dApp is faced with an “impossible trade-off”: Keeping computations onchain (a trustless option, but severely limited) or moving them offchain (a powerful option, but unverifiable)
  • Complex apps have to choose between: Staying simple enough to verify, or running in the dark and asking users to trust you

The project addresses solutions for opening the Black Box, and eliminating the choices above by:

  • Allowing users to run any computation offchain with unlimited complexity, proving correctness with a tiny proof, verifiable in seconds
  • Allowing advanced apps to become both powerful and transparent

Solutions for verifiable computing

Brevis offers 2 solutions for verifiable computing:

  • For universal computation: Pico zkVM – the only modular zkVM that can achieve 99% real-time proving for current ETH blocks
  • For blockchain intelligence: ZK data coprocessor that powers over 300 million in live reward programs across over 20 key protocols, including PancakeSwap, Usual, and Linea

Coordinating the ZK ecosystem via ProverNet

On its official website, Brevis also describes ProverNet, a decentralized marketplace for ZK proof generation which has its Mainnet live in beta mode and allows for the following:

  • Apps submit proof requests
  • Specialized provers compete to fulfill them
  • TODA auction mechanism matches hobs to hardware and clears pricing in real-time

Use cases

Brevis has multiple use cases, including the following:

  • Supporting intelligence DeFi via personalized fees, rewards, and UX based on historical behavior and market conditions
  • Boosting RWA and stable tokens growth via incentivization, transparent distribution, and fair rewards
  • Private trading via Aster DEX with trustless verification
  • Cross-chain interoperability with trustless bridging and security
  • Launching complex programs on blockchains via transparent ZK mechanisms
  • 100x scalability improvements via real-time proving on BNB Chain and Ethereum
  • Verifiable AI apps
  • Top privacy computation via the Automata Network
  • Top security via GoPlus Security
  • Cryptographically-settled prediction markets with data authenticity and trustless computation without the need of human validation and subjective oracle consensus (Opinion)

What is BREV token?

The BREV token powers the economy as a payment medium, staking collateral, and governance.

Tokenomics

BREV will have a total token supply of 1 billion tokens, with the same maximum token supply.

  • The circulating supply upon Binance listing will be 250 million BREV tokens, or 25% of the maximum total token supply.
  • The Binance HODLer Airdrops token rewards will be 15 million BREV tokens, or 1.5% of the maximum token supply.
  • 5 million BREV tokens will be allocated for marketing campaigns following the Binance spot listing.

Binance will launch BREV on Base, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, according to the exchange’s official announcement.

Binance’s BREV listing details

Binance will list BREV on January 6 at 14:00 (UTC) and will open trading for the following pairs:

  • BREV/USDT
  • BREV/USDC
  • BREV/BNB
  • BREV/TRY

The crypto exchange will list BREV with a Seed Tag applied, signaling potential increased volatility.

Users can start depositing BREV today, January 5, starting at 12:00 (UTC).
